La seconda serie della 50 Elestart presenta come unica modifica il cambio a 4 velocità. Le scritte sono dritte. In questi anni l'avviamento elettrico è, soprattutto su un 50cc una vera raffinatezza. E' però in anticipo di almeno vent'anni sui tempi e viene ritenuto un optional adatto solo alle ragazze. Non basta il nuovo cambio a 4 marce ad invogliare il pubblico maschile, che preferisce orientare le sue scelte sulla contemporanea 50 Special.
